Monday Morning Music

Yeah. It’s morning in Monday Land and that means we could all use a pick-me-up. And in light of President Obama’s new approval numbers, what better pick-me-up than a song that concisely summarizes the buyer’s remorse of the youth NRO’s Elise Jordan discussed a few months ago? Elise wasn’t kidding when she said, “the Hope and Change he promised have long since become a punch line” For proof of that I turn to Minneapolis’ own Sims from Doomtree Records. You know reelection isn’t looking good when you’ve lost young, indie hip-hop artists in liberal Minneapolis.

I certainly think younger conservatives, especially those who like hip-hop and acts like the Beastie Boys, should check out Sims’ entire album, Bad Time Zoo. As it so happens, Sims is starting his national Good Time Zoo tour next month in Salt Lake City, Utah – home of the governor with the best economic record. I’ll try not to read too much into that.
