Tuesday Bluesday

In response to a day filled with bad music wherever I went (car, supermarket, store) I would like to play a classic song by The Temptations.  Not exactly blues per se, but close enough.  If there is a list of the greatest intros in rock, soul, or R&B history, this has to be in the top five.  That gives me an idea for a thread for another time.  For now here is yet another song co-written by Barrett Strong, who you may remember as the co-writer of last week’s Beatles Song of the Week.  Quite a coincidence, actually.  I didn’t know Barrett Strong wrote this song when I decided to play it.  But here is 1972’s “Papa Was a Rolling Stone.”
